A record of all of the little details that I'll inevitably forget to put in their baby books.

Autumn
Our neighbor took this picture of our front yard a few weeks ago. She wanted to capture the light coming through the autumn leaves. I love to watch this tree go through the seasons. In the Spring, it blooms with a pretty pink flower that inevitably gets covered up in snow. In summertime, Will and Reina turn the lower branches into a fort or try to throw footballs over the top. By September, it's a beautiful mix of brown and orange and red. Great picture. I also love that you can see our garage door open and a bunch of kid stuff scattered around. All that's missing is the blur of two dogs who just popped the front door open and are now racing down the street. It wouldn't be our front yard any other way. Today, the leaves are all down and this weekend I trimmed back the roses and the clematis and according to Reina, everything in the yard is now sleeping. Night night.
