What a month!

Sorry for the delay in posting. It's been a crazy few weeks! We are moved into the new house. We close this Friday so I won't breathe a sigh of relief until that's all officially completed. The house is a disaster area right now but we are slowly getting everything unpacked. Thanks so much to all of the helpers this week and last - you know who you are!

Just a few pictures of Will to share with the blogging universe. He's adjusting to the new house pretty well. He's discovered that he can turn his light on in his room from his crib. That's a fun way to avoid taking a nap. I'm getting ready to move him out of the crib in preparation for Deuce's arrival but we're giving him a little more time to adjust to the new house (and to keep him from wandering the halls by himself at night).

I'll post pictures of the new place after we get everything unpacked and sorted out - looks for those pictures by summer ha ha.
Here's Will helping pack last week. Toddlers are so helpful!
Speaking of helpful, Will has a renewed interest in Canyon lately. He can throw her tennis ball and aims right for her mouth. For all of you interested parties (baseball fans) - he is currently throwing with his left hand but switches to his right every few throws. Canyon won't bring the ball back to him yet (that would be acknowledging that he actually exists!) but she's warming up slightly. He loves to help feed her, even though she has been fully capable of feeding herself for the last 13 years. She will eat something out of his hand if it's particularly enticing.
Finally, label this picture "shots that chill Glenn to his very core." Will loves shoes, mom's shoes, dad's shoes, his own shoe's. His favorite right now are my high heels. He's quite adept at clicking all over the hardwood floors. I'm thinking Lord of the Dance is in his future.

One last note. I thought it would be more bittersweet to leave our old house. After all, Glenn owned that house when we first met, it's the place that I feverishly tried to redecorate after we got married, it's where we brought Will home on that first day and set his carseat down on the table and said "now what?!" and it's where he took his first steps last Spring. There's a heck of a lot of memories wrapped up in those walls. HOWEVER, by Saturday afternoon after numerous trips back and forth to the new house, carting loads and loads of crap errrr... precious household belongings, swollen pregnancy feet and the Wyoming wind, I was just ready to be done with the move and close the door on Fishing Bridge for good. We have some cleaning to do over there this week so maybe my sentamentality will catch up with me by then, but for now I'm just ready to move on with life at the new place.

Next time, I'll post about the joys of moving while pregnant, dealing with "nesting" while surrounded by boxes and wall colors that I hate, and other reasons why Glenn is a saint.

Gia loves wearing my heels too, but hasn't really bothered w/her dad's. Poor Glen, I'm sure it's very traumatic for him to watch... Think how much balance and the yoga poses he'll be able to do when he's older. :}
